The purpose of all the noise coming out of Lebanon--and the corresponding echo in DC think tanks--about Israel-Lebanon "talks" is very transparently to end IDF operations, which means a return to the status quo ante. Hence, the Beirut-DC corridor noise should be tuned out.

"President Trump, more than anyone else, can play a decisive role in bringing this war to an end," Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam told @npwcnn in an interview recorded in Beirut earlier today. He also urged for an immediate ceasefire.

Israel has exactly zero interest in a "peace agreement" with "Lebanon." Lebanon is merely territory; a theater of operations and buffer zones. Everything else is noise--especially the garbage coming out of DC think tanks.

Kent probably seeded that story, which was first reported by a tankie journalist who had co-authored an article with Kent's wife, and who would have no other obvious line to the Trump administration, given that he is a literal Stalinist.
KG@interstatejuche

Joe Kent is now "just asking questions" about whether the israelis assassinated Charlie Kirk, which explains why he did almost nothing about leftist terrorist networks since Kirk got assassinated. What a piece of shit.

Underneath the violence that led to Quentin Deranque’s death, in other words, lies the breeding ground for the current French political and identity mess, writes @marcweitzmann. On a rising antisemitic left in France. tabletmag.com/sections/news/…

"The Iranian regime is building something that isn't a real thing even if evidence and analysis suggest Israel and the US are winning the war." Look how stupid everything has become.
Channel 4 News@Channel4News

The Iranian regime is “building leverage over time” even if “metrics” suggest Israel and the US are “winning the war”, Emile Hokayem, director of regional security at the International Institute for Strategic Studies, says.

“Palestine” has become more than a cause. It’s a global spectacle backed by power, a projection screen for Western anxieties. At the center of it all is Israel, not as a country, but as the West’s unresolved question. tabletmag.com/sections/news/…

For thousands of years, military practitioners and strategists assumed that when at war, killing the enemy's leadership is a good way to win. The Israelis have been putting on a clinic showing how to do it. Journalists quoting experts have determined it actually backfires. Oops!
