Here are some additional energy saving tips for #FuelPovertyAwarenessDay that you can use in your home.

Small insulation measures such as draught excluders and radiator reflector panels can prevent heat loss from your home and maximise energy use, keeping you warmer and increasing energy efficiency. #FuelPovertyAwarenessDay

The deadline to apply for Pension Credit is Saturday 21 December. This is a way to top up your income and receive the Winter Fuel Payment. #FuelPovertyAwarenessDay

This #FuelPovertyAwarenessDay we are raising awareness about the importance of ensuring as many people as possible can to afford to heat their homes to a comfortable and safe temperature.

These areas have been pre-determined by the central government DESNZ for this funding and if you live in one of these areas, your property is not heated by mains gas, and has an EPC of D or below, you are likely to qualify!

We now have an easy way for you to check if you live in a specific area which does not need to prove income for the Home Upgrade Grant 2 funding. Check if you live in a specified postcode area at the beginning of the updated grant funding request form bit.ly/AoEGFRF

These measures can reduce heat loss and your carbon footprint. They can make your home quieter and more comfortable, as well as reduce condensation. (3/3)

Energy efficient glazing applies to double and triple glazing. You can also make your windows more energy efficient by installing secondary glazing or ensuring you have heavy curtains which will cover your windows. (2/3)

Air source heat pumps are one of several measures which may be recommended for your home under the HUG2 funding scheme, providing your home is, or will become, well insulated. Read more about HUG2 funding here - bit.ly/AoEHUG2

It reduces your energy use and carbon emissions. It can also lower your energy bills depending on the design of the heat pump and how you use it. Solar panels can also be used with air source heat pumps to help offset the cost. (2/3)
