@Roger_Paulen My wife and I cycled around the Hebridies 10 years ago. We're not big whisky fans, but made stops at Ardbeg and Jura. Such an awesome part of the world especially if you like scotch.

Got to taste this ‘travel exclusive’ at a friend’s place this weekend. Flavourful but kind of a shame it was bottled at 40%, as it could have been so much more if they had cut it at 46-48%.

It took me SEVEN years to figure out that you can save a ggplot as a vectorized .svg file ggsave("file.svg"). The svg file can be opened on powerpoint and it will be completely vectorized, even text are still recognized as text boxes! No more recreating plots on illustrator!!!!!

@ksituan This is really cool. A lot of the bushes across the Nunavut tundra (not in the islands) go bright red and yellow in the fall. I was shocked when I first went up there. Lots of colour l even though it's above tree line. Would be neat to buck part of the cold and snowy stereotype.

The final manuscript from my thesis is availble in GSA Bulletin. Quite happy with how this one turned out, after we were prodded by an anonymous reviewer to go the full distance with the Bayesian modeling. If you're out there anonymous😘

I was curious about what kinds of colours medieval peasants might have worn so I started dyeing my handspun wool with plants I found outside...turns out medieval peasants must have loved soft pastels???

Had a great time speaking to @CEGAssociation about my Nanaimo Basin work done with @the_subtender and @rgenglert. It was fun distilling our learnings from trying to slice the basin like a 3D seismic volume for explorationists. Thanks to @zzsylvester for tips on forward modelling.
