In the Reddit post about Shy Girl, the phrase "quiet violence" is argued to be a ChatGPT signature. Ngl this reads like something I would write. I'm glad Shy Girl was pulled (the author admitted that AI was used for editing) but I worry about LLMs' impact on style and voice.

This book would be PERFECT if it weren't for the fact that I have to cover up and edit that one word near the end every time I read it aloud. How has that not been changed through the years? 🫠

@Bob_Wachter How do you use the em-dash? Do you have a special key combo to access it?

I've used em-dashes my whole life — they add rhythm and grace to writing. But now they're an AI tell. Can we get a grandfather clause for those of us who were fluent in em-dashes before ChatGPT launched in November 2022?
