This 13-year-old girl from Benue was sent to live with “family” for schooling and safety. Instead, from the age of 8, she was repeatedly raped by her uncle Andrew Ogbuja and his son Victor Ogbuja. The years of abuse left her with vesicovaginal fistula (VVF). She suffered in pain, smiled through it all, and eventually died in October 2018. Andrew was acquitted by the court. Victor is still a fugitive walking free, years later, with no sustained manhunt or public wanted notice from the authorities.
