Something is very different about this cycle. Every previous cycle had a blow-off top. This one hasn't. Nothing really got overbought. So if we never got the typical bull market...why would we get the typical bear market? The macro backs this up. PMI positioning is completely opposite of where it was during the last two bear entries. And then there's Midnight. A regulated UK bank is tokenizing $250M in retail deposits directly on chain. Insane news for the day! I really do not think this cycle is going to follow the old playbook. We will see.

From summer highs: Cardano is down -72% SUI is down -76% XRP is down -61% Hardly a difference. Last night Mastercard replied to Ripple account on X, but Cardano and SUI are up almost 2% more than XRP. My point isn’t to compare these tokens. I like all of them. But everyone gets caught up in narratives…‘this coin has a better partnership, that coin failed’, but usually, it barely matters. When the macro turns, all relevant coins tend to go down and up together. The cycle matters more than the narrative.

We've been stuck in contraction and suppression since 2021. Years of it. And now we're getting consecutive expansion prints on PMI. Be very careful bearish against crypto when the business cycle is turning. Yes the charts look ugly. Yes Bitcoin could fall further. I'm not saying it's impossible. But the times crypto has fallen apart and the times crypto has exploded have almost ALWAYS aligned with the business cycle. I'm not rushing to confirm anything yet. I want 1-2 more months of PMI prints. But if expansion holds… Again, I say......be very careful bearish against crypto when the business cycle is turning.
