@owenlikescomics The first few runs blew my mind in my early 20s. Looking back now it feels a bit edgelordy in spots, but there’s still a bunch of really cool ideas here.

Anyway, now that I've finished writing and reading The Authority (which has been my entire life for the past six weeks), it's fun to reflect on how this book challenged and changed my expectations. It's a fun time, and you can certainly see why it became so influential.

The fun thing about The Authority is, at first glance, you expect it to be a cynical satire of superheroes (ala The Boys). Then you read it and see it's actually pure Silver-Age-inspired nonsense. They literally fly around in a sentient ship that moves at 25 dreams per second.

@AdamCarterCBC just read your piece on the potential removal of bike lanes. To be fair, the proposed legislation doesn't include the removal of bike lanes, and no regulations have been published.
