@OrinKerr I just smiled and the moment passed. As an aspiring trumpet player (at least before wanting to become a law professor instead) I still regret not standing up and taking the horn from him.

@OrinKerr One of my favorite memories as a child was my dad to taking me to the Blue Note to see Dizzy Gillespie play in the early 1990s. I sat in the exact spot you are referencing. And he saw me (I was only about 15) and he held out the trumpet as if he was offering to let me play it.

When I see live jazz, I usually want to sit as close as I can get to the stage. I basically want to be *in* the band, positionally, immersed in it. A recent trip to the Blue Note was about as good as it gets, w/Walter Smith III on tenor, Larry Grenadier bass, & Tain Watts drums.

@retiredPhlADA @EverydayasOrenG @EverydayasOrenG Oren did in fact quickly reply to my data request when I first started this project. He did not have HR data and suggested that I reach out to others in the office. I subsequently wrote to multiple people in the office who did not respond.

@EverydayasOrenG @AdamGershowitz You are correct. The article says the Philly DA did not respond to repeated requests. I took that as a refusal. Perhaps that was just my view. But, the requests were repeated and ignored.

Important comparative analysis of prosecutor vacancies across multiple jurisdictions. Love me a good table. And appreciate the law review footnotes begetting a table that spans 3 pages, will make this more memorable indeed.

Is he going to get 110 years? No. Is the sentence going to be very long? Yes. Why? (1) The loss calculation under the Guidelines will be enormous and (2) SBF is very young. Younger defendants are less likely to be cut a break than older defendants.
