@elonmusk hey here’s a question is consciousness a good thing to extend tho
English

For those unaware, SpaceX has already shifted focus to building a self-growing city on the Moon, as we can potentially achieve that in less than 10 years, whereas Mars would take 20+ years.
The mission of SpaceX remains the same: extend consciousness and life as we know it to the stars.
It is only possible to travel to Mars when the planets align every 26 months (six month trip time), whereas we can launch to the Moon every 10 days (2 day trip time). This means we can iterate much faster to complete a Moon city than a Mars city.
That said, SpaceX will also strive to build a Mars city and begin doing so in about 5 to 7 years, but the overriding priority is securing the future of civilization and the Moon is faster.

@VerizonNews you should give me $20 a day because i live in nyc and have to see your logo in the skyline for some reason
English

Yesterday, we did not meet the standard of excellence you expect and that we expect of ourselves. To help provide some relief to those affected, we will give you a $20 account credit that can be easily redeemed by logging into the myVerizon app. You will receive a text message when the credit is available. On average, this covers multiple days of service. Business customers will be contacted directly about their credits.
This credit isn’t meant to make up for what happened. No credit really can. But it’s a way of acknowledging your time and showing that this matters to us.
If you’re still having trouble connecting, please restart your device (power down and power back on). This is the fastest way to reconnect your phone to the network.
We are sorry for what you experienced and will continue to work hard day and night to provide the outstanding network and service that you expect from Verizon.

@Iamben27 @Vitus_oss doesn't really explain the infinite amount of non-human (e.g. animal) suffering.
English

@Vitus_oss He created the perfect world in eden gardens
Humanity brought sin into it and we have the present suffering world
Yet in his mercy and grace he came to take the punishment for sin and redeem us into a life in a perfect world which is his coming eternal kingdom

had an idea for an app called “pop in”. main feature is you can switch on/off your availability/desire for a pop in. could have granular controls where you are available for a pop in from family, but not from work colleagues etc.

@abarefootmomma You must always get a gift, and any giving of gifts should “hurt” a little. Think of the widow in the Bible, giving her two coins, but it was all she had. If your gift doesn’t sting a bit, is it even a gift?
