Social media should be restricted in Somalia. What’s happening to the youth is concerning, a few are followings trends trying to appear modern, at the expense of their culture and modesty.

The Minister of Defence, H.E. Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, and the Chief of Defence Forces of the Somali National Armed Forces (SNAF), Brigadier General Ibrahim Mohamed Mohamud, conducted an inspection visit to a Somali National Army training facility in Baidoa, which was constructed with support from the United Kingdom. The officials toured various sections of the facility, emphasising the importance of resuming training programmes and further developing the centre to build a professional, skilled force capable of contributing effectively to counter-terrorism operations and the defence of the nation. The Minister of Defence commended the United Kingdom for its continued support to Somalia, noting that such modern facilities play a critical role in enhancing the capacity and capability of the Somali National Armed Forces, as well as contributing to regional and national security. The visit was accompanied by AUSSOM officers from Sector Three.
