It's a bit rough around some of the edges but I'm super keen for developers to see this. One of my major bug bears is having to configure domains and to buy a google mailbox for each email surface.

I want to try building a personal OS in Claude Code myself but a few things are holding me back:
1. I have OCD about keeping my .md files clean. I worry that letting Claude create and modify my text files will lead to junk being loaded into context.
2. I would want to talk to my personal OS on my iPhone and this doesn't seem supported right now?
3. Excuses, plain and simple :)
Have y'all found a way to work around #1 and #2?

@adamwathan I’ve got something on this. Claude SDK plus personal knowledge base plus context plus integrations etc. I use it hourly but not sure if I should productise or release open source. No doubt it’s valuable but it requires setup atm.

Is anyone using Claude Code or similar for stuff that isn't coding at all, purely because it's nice to have access to local files and stuff?
I use AI as a thinking partner constantly, and not having persistent references is starting to become annoying, but worried the CLI tools are tuned too much for programming and not business strategy for example.

My team built a VPN at Google. Summary of my advice on VPNs: 1) Never ever use a free VPN. 2) Be wary of any influencer-marketed VPNs with big discounts. Up to you but I wouldn’t use Nord/Express/etc based in Lithuania/Cyprus/Panama. 3) Mullvad is the best consumer VPN and it’s not even close. (more below)

I failed to mention that this works much more effectively when you are moving. So on subways, elevators, escalators, airplanes, buses, and even walking down the street, it is most effective.

I hear from many young men that they find it difficult to meet young women in a public setting. In other words, the online culture has destroyed the ability to spontaneously meet strangers. As such, I thought I would share a few words that I used in my youth to meet someone that I found compelling. I would ask: “May I meet you?” before engaging further in a conversation. I almost never got a No. It inevitably enabled the opportunity for a further conversation. I met a lot of really interesting people this way. I think the combination of proper grammar and politeness was the key to its effectiveness. You might give it a try. And yes, I think it should also work for women seeking men as well as same sex interactions. Just two cents from an older happily married guy concerned about our next generation’s happiness and population replacement rates.

IMO, @FNBSA unfortunately made a giant strategic error moving partnership from @CheckersSA to @PicknPay. PNP is unplayable. Their systems locked me out, try a password reset, 12 attempts, 5 calls, and a week later, no word back. They don't want customers. Food isn't fresh: you can check if eggs float in water to assess if they're okay. Recently a fresh batch from PNP had > 50% off eggs.
