@VandyValiant It was great sharing our work on creating MRI eye atlases and seeing all the important vision research happening in the Southeastern US!

This was an emotional day. After 15 years, closing the doors on the original MASI Lab for the last time. Alumni and friends come back and visit us in our new beautiful space with @VandyValiant. We will have a grand opening later this fall.

So here's a story of, by far, the weirdest bug I've encountered in my CS career. Along with @maciejwolczyk we've been training a neural network that learns how to play NetHack, an old roguelike game, that looks like in the screenshot. Recenlty, something unexpected happened.
