Every feud is going to have a back and forth: Liv stood tall one week and Stephanie another. Same with Jade/Rhea, Punk/Roman, Cody/Randy. That's just how WWE does things. If you thought Dom was going to kick Finn's ass all the way to Mania, re-adjust your expectations. Dom getting attacked pre-match, having an entire match and then Finn taking advantage of all that didn't make Dom look weak.

@MysteriossDom @BenToeke @zo2_24 He didn't get cleared until last month. So 5 months is disingenuous considering he wasn't allowed to wrestle for 3. So he's been active for a month and a half and was going to beat Dragon Lee last week.

I'm not sure I understand your first point. You didn't want him to get a rematch because he got injured? I really don't care if he had a rematch or not. It's not really relevant to the story they're telling. It just made the most sense for Finn to come back in a match that Dom had a stake in. Wouldn't exactly hit as good if it was against Kofi. On your 2nd point, it's gonna be back and forth just like every other feud. Liv stood tall/Stephanie stood tall. Rhea stood tall/Jade stood tall. Same with Cody and Randy, Punk and Roman. That's just how they do it. Whether we agree with it or not is another story. Dom's not gonna kick Finn's ass all the way to Mania.

And to @crashoutayala 's point, Finn & Dom likely go past Wrestlemania. Possibly a best of 3. It'll help Dom to get at least 1 win on him because they're not letting him beat the Demon character. And if they have big plans for Dom this year, getting a pin on Finn will catapult him to the next thing.

@BenToeke Rey and Dom's match wasn't made official until the week before WM 39. A lot can get done in a month.

In kayfabe it would make sense that he cares more about a championship than an expelled group member. They have to give the impression that Dom's overconfident and sell the fact that he thinks his "Finn problem" is taken care of. So he can be that much more shocked when Finn shows up. Then it'll be a full go.

Oh I see. Yeah I do think that gets addressed. Some of these WM feuds have peaked too early. People are already tired of Rhea and Jade with 2 promos in. So I think there's an advantage to building it up with only a month to go. People won't get fatigued like some of these other feuds.

@Adam_AlexanderM I mean It is- if Dom attacked Finn cause he cost him the IC then Finn comes back to cost Dom the IC again and THAT is what makes Dom snap on Finn more the the feud is IC lore and not anything to do with the like 16 months or more we’ve had to work with That’s what annoys me

@crashoutayala I thought they hinted at Dom & Finn's history and relationship in the package last week. Something I didn't expect them to do. I think it gets personal tonight.

Finn costs Dom tonight. Next week should then be Dom calling out Finn and they have a segment in the ring, allow them to tap into their history together. Let it escalate into a brawl and have that be the announcement for their Mania match.

It's not IC title lore. It's being used as a supporting storytelling device in Dom & Finn's feud. WE know as the audience that they're gonna have a WM match but the characters don't. You have to do something to justify a match. The group took out Finn. They consider it over. Finn not letting Dom cheat to win is one thing. Him causing Dom to lose on purpose takes it to the next level. It'll be ratcheted up after this week.
