@supertanskiii I've posted very similar to this tweet and have had non-stop notifications since. Some really, erm, pleasant. Don't know how you cope with the noise day in day out. It doesn't eat at me but it ain't half annoying after a while. Keep on fighting the good fight, Tan.

This country is not ruled by politicians. It is ruled by the media. (and billionaires, obviously) Media regulation must become an urgent priority. Without an informed population you cannot have a functioning democracy.

@Adam_Townsend You’re clearly trolling here. The media done the best they could to promote Starmer. If you’re seeing issues with the media loving Starmer, that’s a Starmer issue, not a media issue.

A lot of noise about Starmer, but I remain convinced that the majority of the people saying he needs to leave have no idea why they actually feel that way. They just feel that way because a lot of the media tell them to do so. Really quite depressing, to be honest.

@tdkavanagh Not 100% true. I have voted for Lib Dems in previous elections. I am increasingly tempted by Greens. I've praised & critiqued Starmer. I'd argue against most of the media running client journalism for Starmer. All the noise about tickets and glasses? Compared to Farage and £5m?

I'm glad I'm able to read and form my own opinions because if I trusted Twitter/X for my views I'd be a pretty horrible person. Some of the replies to a tweet about Starmer are just so misinformed it's unbelievable. Same on Facebook. Get off social media and read a bit.

@Zoeycialist @LastBlairite I fully believe Leveson 2 needs to happen and I think it is an error on Starmer's part to not reopen the inquiry. Starmer has definitely made errors that I am more than willing to call him out on, but he is, in my opinion, far better to be PM than anybody else currently.

Sat in the work canteen and GB News is on. "This message comes from a Labour voters that says he just couldn't bring himself to vote for Starmer." You're voting for local councillors, not the PM. Educate yourselves.

So many people misunderstand council elections. I've seen numerous posts from Reform supporters that fully believe wins tonight will make Farage PM. It highlights to me one reason why, imo, politics should be taught in schools. People don’t understand what they're voting for.

I'm going to try to be positive. Reform may, and most likely will, win numerous councils tonight. But what will it show? What will it do? Several people will feel let down when promises aren't kept. They won't feel positive change. It'll be "just like the Tories". Or worse.
