This Wednesday I will be releasing episode 100 of the @SoundCentricMus podcast. 100? Like two zeros? We talkin triple digits? I can’t believe it’s been 3 years. Truly, it’s crazy to even think about. I was just a sophomore in college writing my music takes in a “Hip-Hop Heads @ OSU” GroupMe groupchat (to very little responses) when a stranger dmd me that he liked my music takes and wanted to see if I’d be interested in starting a podcast with him and a friend. That man was @SamuelSarfo_ Who knew that question would change my life. Doing the pod with Sam, I had finally found someone who shared this passion I had for music. It was so awesome forming this friendship, and even though he is now continuing his career in a different sector, I appreciate him for helping jump start this platform that means so dearly to me. Doing this podcast, I have had the opportunity to chat with some of my favorite artists, creators, mangers, etc. and get to continue talking about and learning about my passion. The fact that one person listens is enough for me to keep going. Even when in my own life I’ve had a lot of failures and have made career pivots, this podcast has been an outlet to keep my passion for music alive. So, if you’ve ever listened or commented on a single thing I’ve done, I appreciate you.
