Tomorrow I will start learning a new digital skill. For almost 9 years I have been a hairstylist, started pretty young, it's something I have known all my life. After so much thought I think it's a good idea to try something different.

Even though it looks like I've been unserious about running my business this year The best thing I did for myself was step back and learn marketing and sales Now I can see so many possibilities for scaling a business I once felt wasn't good enough.

One girl on TikTok once sold to me what was supposed to be a lead magnet, it was just basic information about her actual course. I went through it, and the entire lead magnet was focused on reasons why I should buy her course, blah blah. She sold it for just 2k, but it annoyed me so much that I completely lost interest in the main course. Imagine being that deceitful. I wasn't about to risk spending over 50k plus on any further information. And these are usually the same people who intentionally hold back information in their paid trainings. If you're learning how to package your knowledge for sales, please learn the difference between actual knowledge people should pay for and a lead magnet.

4 years ago an American hired me on Upwork. And took it upon himself to improve my portfolio. He said “I want you rich so we can jolly ride on my yacht.” He made me Head of Marketing at his start-up. And that one move opened countless doors for me as a copywriter. He built the foundation I enjoy today. And the confidence I express every day. He changed my life. The only time I called a man more than I should afrer a break up was when he ghosted. The ghosting came unexpected out of nowhere. I was confused and wondering if he was safe but the moment I confirmed he was fine he didn't hear from me again till date. I will never give anyone the impression that I can't leave without them.

When i see people’s breakup storytimes, sometimes i wonder if it’s that i didn’t love my ex’s enough. Anytime it gets to breakup point, i just take a step back and heal. One thing i know happens to me, i lose weight fast, cause i get very attached to my partner,i’m clingy asf, so since i am learning to embrace a new reality…it affects my weight. But those prayers, those calling and begging… i don’t do all of that. I dey quick move on well well, my heart strong, i be uhrobo babe. One thing you will never do is find me begging a man to take me back. Once you give me clarity on why, rest assured you’re never hearing from me again… i only chase closure, not “more.”

You work at work, and then you come back home, and you continue to do house chores. From time to time, let it go into chaos. Everybody should go to the fridge and find themselves something to eat. Teach everybody resourcefulness. Leave the laundry, let it pile. On a Saturday, stretch your legs, lie in, and let breakfast come to you. Nothing will happen.

I recently took a media buying course, and my coach said she's going to do more than I paid for to make sure I'm truly ready to be employed. She's taken it upon herself to help me build my portfolio and is genuinely going out of her way to support me. Every time I think about how much she's been helping me, I feel incredibly grateful.
