We extend my sincere appreciation to @VarsitysportsUG for its historic decision to inclusively embrace Goalball for the first time at the 20th Edition of the AUUS Games 2025 hosted by Uganda Christian University (UCU).

@Makerere and .@ExperienceUSIU led the way in history at the 1st Eastern Africa University PWD Games. Let’s champion inclusivity- more universities must join the next edition, empowering persons with disabilities through sports in line with the SDGs.

The goal keeper in Blind Football is typically sighted. This is the only outfield position allowed on the pitch with full vision, providing a crucial defensive advantage though their play area is restricted only in 2 meters long by 5 meters wide box area.
