Much needed win and a marked improvement 1st half. We looked nervy after the break, and I’m still confused about team selections and politics involved. But finding goalscoring form has been something we’ve lacked for far too long, Osula did well today. Big Joe too. 🖤🤍 #NUFC

No lessons learned from that first corner. Eze left free at the edge of the box with a 15 yard radius around him. Great finish, but so, SO easy. Scandalous defending, we fully deserved that. What are we doing?? FFS. #NUFC

Hard to know what to say anymore. Another turgid, cowardly display. Too scared to battle, too scared to cross and we lacked leadership for most of the game. When senior players came on, we were chasing the game - not nearly enough quality front to back. Really grim. #NUFC

Catastrophic result. Should’ve been picking up 4-6 points the last 2 games, not 0. Both games we took the lead. Season seems done, the players are spent, mentally we’re completely shot. So furious at how bad our trajectory is right now. It’s unacceptable & so exhausting. #NUFC

@AddingRandomWit Usually agree with you Adam but not on this. We made a sub on 90 that took 30s so was within the 4 min and it was a clear pen. Joey was clearly offside too for his goal. Ref wasn’t great but can’t blame him for the end result. Still a fantastic performance though.

How often are we going to get fucked by biased refs dazzled by the badges of elite clubs? Zero integrity. Robbed of a famous win tonight after a class performance. By far the better team, Barca struggled with our pace, intensity & physicality - they deserved nothing. 🖤🤍 #NUFC

Encouraging 1st half, but we crumbled after the equaliser. Man City made the 2nd half look far too easy, and scoring so soon after HT killed the tie. We had an eye on Barca, but City bringing on Cherki, Foden and Semenyo off the bench showed the gulf in quality and depth. #NUFC

Disastrous performance, deserved nothing. Cheap opener bad enough, but conceding straight after both equalisers unforgivable. Sloppy with ball, poor decisions in final third. Infuriating how much worse league form is vs cup. Everton, referee and Newcastle all shite today. #NUFC

Not our smoothest performance but did what we had to without overexerting. If tie wasn’t over at HT in Baku, it definitely was tonight at 2-0 after 6 mins. We had the luxury of rotation, pleased to see younger fringe players get minutes. More intensity needed for Everton. #NUFC

I hate VAR. It’s ruined the sport, I’d get rid in a heartbeat. I also don’t believe the unacceptably low levels of officiating seen in Villa v Newcastle should be a reason to retain VAR. We should all expect better basic refereeing as a bare minimum, stakes are too high. #NUFC
