Yesterday, the Village of Addison recognized Laura Montbriand of the Addison Police for her many years of service. Laura began her career in 1985 and has served in a variety of roles, including the past 15 years as Evidence Technician. We thank Laura for her decades of service.

The Addison Police is partnering with Rush University Medical Center to offer a free car seat safety check. The event will take place on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the ACDC Center parking lot, 1471 Jeffrey Drive, Addison, IL. No appointment is needed.

Last Monday at the Addison Village Board meeting, Mayor Hundley presented Chief Selvik with the official National Police Week Proclamation, acknowledging the dedication and courage of law enforcement officers, especially the fallen heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

The Village of Addison is hiring a full-time Accountant in the Finance Department. This role works Monday-Friday, 9 AM-5 PM (37.5 hours per week), with occasional extended hours. A private ceremony honoring fallen veterans will take place today at 12:30 PM at 446 W. Lake St. (VFW Post 7446). Ceremonial blank rounds will be used—no live ammunition. There is no danger to the public. We appreciate your understanding as we honor those who served & sacrificed.
