The Ukrainian-French Forum on Joint Drone Production in Paris – President of France @EmmanuelMacron and I took part in it together. We discussed potential avenues for joint drone production – the creation of joint enterprises and investment opportunities.
I provided a detailed overview of Ukraine’s use of various types of drones – long-range, sea – and of production capabilities. We are ready for joint production with France. It is essential to develop partnerships between the businesses and defense institutions of our countries. Such cooperation will reinforce both Ukraine and France and will contribute to strengthening European security as a whole.

I spoke with President of Finland @alexstubb. It was a good conversation with important signals, and I’m grateful for the consistent and steadfast support.
Alex shared details of his meeting with President Trump. I congratulated Finland on signing an agreement with the United States on joint icebreaker construction that will undoubtedly enhance security in the Arctic.
We discussed security guarantees for Ukraine, which are now among our top priorities. We value that America is ready to support them, and it is now crucial to pick up the pace with our European allies and put all the details on paper. We are preparing for active work within the Coalition of Willing in October and November. We coordinated our steps.
I also spoke about the preparation of a draft resolution for the UN General Assembly condemning the abduction and deportation of Ukrainian children. We count on the support of our partners.
I also shared updates on the situation in our energy system. Russia has once again inflicted a vile strike on our critical infrastructure. We understand all the intentions of the Russians, and we will defend ourselves. I asked the President to consider how Finland might help.

Denmark, Finland, and Estonia are countries whose people and governments have supported Ukraine since the very first days of the full-scale war.
Today, together we presented state awards to the First Ladies of Finland and Estonia and to the First Gentleman of Denmark – true friends who stand alongside our people. They came to Ukraine for the Fifth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen. For us, this is a symbol of genuine partnership and great trust.
We are grateful for the attention to our nation and for the support we feel and sincerely value.

The U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Ukraine, General Keith Kellogg @generalkellogg, is in Kyiv today. I am grateful for a constructive meeting.
We discussed various vectors of cooperation – how to achieve real peace and guarantee Ukraine’s security. These include projects within the PURL initiative for financing production and procurement of Patriot systems, strong bilateral agreements on co-production of drones and weapons that we have proposed to America. We count on a positive response from the United States. We had a substantive discussion on stepping up pressure on the Russians and what we can do together with partners in tariff and sanctions policy to enable a meeting at the leaders’ level at the earliest and bring this war to an end. A trilateral leaders’ format is undoubtedly the most effective.
We also discussed the return of abducted Ukrainian children, international cooperation on this track, and the conditions in which our children are being held.
I expressed condolences to the American people over the horrific murder of Charlie Kirk and thanked President Trump for his condolences and response to the brutal murder of Ukrainian citizen Iryna Zarutska in North Carolina. It is important that justice prevail every time violence seeks to take hold.
We are also preparing for the 80th session of the UN General Assembly in New York. We discussed planned events, coordination between Ukraine and the U.S., and work within the Coalition of the Willing. We are working on potential meetings and various formats.

Equally important – our long-range capabilities. Putin does not want negotiations, he is clearly hiding from them, so Russia’s fuel shortages and other economic troubles are the logical response to its refusal to agree to a ceasefire or a meeting at the leaders’ level.

It is important that today we saw a broad response from our partners to this strike. Clearly, Russia is trying to inflict pain on Ukraine with even more brazen attacks. This is a clear sign that Putin is testing the world – whether they will accept or tolerate this.

Last night, a drone strike on Okhtyrka in the Sumy region injured 14 people. A family with wounded children – 5 months, 4 years, and 6 years old – sought assistance after the attack. In Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region, a glide bomb strike damaged five apartment buildings, and at least three people still remain under the rubble. The rescue operation continues. There was also a treacherous strike on a gas distribution station in the Odesa region. Shelling also targeted the Chernihiv, Kharkiv, and Poltava regions. In total, more than 60 drones and a ballistic missile were used.
All of these are demonstrative strikes that only confirm the need to put pressure on Moscow, the need to impose new sanctions and tariffs until diplomacy is fully effective. I thank all partners who are helping to stop this Russian war. Together with the United States, Europe, and all those who seek peace, we are working every day to guarantee security. We need strong security guarantees to ensure a truly reliable and lasting peace.
