@Ibk_d_brain Lazy man approach: Each message will have an array field to store the ids of the users that can't see the message. If you delete for yourself, your id gets added to the array field. If you delete for everyone, all the ids of the members of the group get added to the array field

WhatsApp's "Delete for Everyone" vs "Delete for Me" is one of the most underrated database design problems in messaging apps. It's NOT a simple is_deleted BOOLEAN field. Think about it If User A deletes for everyone, User B's copy disappears too.

@Ibk_d_brain For the time limit for deleting for everyone, you can use the time the message was created. If it's a "delete for me operation", ignore the time limit. If it's a "delete for everyone" operation, then consider the time frame.
