@GideonToba I hated sales till I got my first commissioned job at FutureShop (now Best Buy). As a tech nerd, I loved it. If you’re actually enthusiastic about the product/idea it’s easy to be successful. Sparked my eventual career pivot to marketing.

Let me tell you the true version of this story that I know happened in Bowen University in 2005. The bookshop in Bowen University at the time shared the same building with Sterling bank. The building was behind Odili hall and it was not really built to be a bank. It was a branch the bank opened to take advantage of a start-up project like Bowen University with was just three years old at the time. One afternoon, a student went into the bookshop and sneaked into their toilet. From the toilet he climbed into the ceiling and waited there all night. In the middle of the night, he opened the ceiling of the bank and climbed into the bank. He opened the safe and cleared out all the cash (local and foreign currency). He found his way back to the ceiling and went back into the bookshop through the roof. He opened the door of the bookshop from within and escaped without beibg detected. The next challenge was how to sneak into the hostels undetected at that time of the day. All hostels were locked down by 10pm at the time. He decided to wait until morning, when students would flood the school area and the hostel would be open for all. He had the option of hiding in one of the classrooms or in the forest. He also had the option of hiding his loot in the forest while returning to hide in one of the classrooms. The school area is heavily patrolled by unarmed security men with torchlights during the night. This was usually to discourage male and female students from hiding out in classrooms to do what some young people like to do at that age Many of the classrooms were old and had nothing of value in them (they were built in the 60s when the school was a teacher training institute) This young man opted to sneak into Agric Workshop and wait it out with his loot. He hid there till 5am. One security man randomly heard someone snoring on his final patrol ajd went into the hall to investigate He found the 17 year old boy fast asleep and snoring. He said he had patrolled and checked the classroom before and didnt see anybody there and asked him where he suddenly surfaced from. The boy lied that he went there to read and slept off. The security man was not satisfied. He told the boy to open his bag and show him the books he had been reading. The boy began to beg him with some money to let him be. The man raised an alarm. Other security men came around and forcefully took his from him. When they opened it they saw money with Sterling bank stamps everywhere! They detained him until morning, called the Vice Chancellor. The bank manager was called and je rushed to campus He opened the bank and it was confirmed that he had robbed the bank. He was paraded round the school and handed over to the police. His parents later came to the hostel to pack his things. I was in 100 level when this happened!

This should be implemented in phases. Start by designating one or two lanes for cash payments while keeping the others cashless.
