DOUGLAS MWONZORA’S PROPERTY ATTACHED Douglas Mwonzora is grappling with legal and financial challenges as his law firm, Mwonzora and Associates, had its office property seized last week due to three months of unpaid rent. The firm reportedly owes US$3,750 in arrears for the period from July to September 2024. Simon Denhere, the landlord of the premises at 44 Eastcourt Road, Belvedere, initiated legal proceedings on September 19 by filing summons for the overdue rent. Through an ex parte application at the Harare Civil Court, Denhere obtained a court order authorizing the attachment of property without Mwonzora’s presence in court. Last Tuesday, the Messenger of Court enforced the order, confiscating several items from Mwonzora’s office, including sofas, a reception desk, an office desk, four computers, two printers, office chairs, and a generator. The action was carried out under Section 34 of the Magistrates Court Act, aimed at preventing tenants from leaving without paying their debts. Denhere has also filed for the law firm’s eviction and is demanding an additional US$1,250 in holding-over damages. Mwonzora must settle this amount to recover his seized property.

Selmor represents a lot of children/adults who are from broken homes, where fathers starts looking after children of women they are with and neglecting their responsibilities they committed to unprovoked, the trauma of being a VICTIM of a broken home is ageless, it transcends the generations… if care is not taken, this spills over and becomes a chain reaction, it is WRONG, to neglect children because of differences with spouse, the brokenness that comes with this process, breaks more and more homes! @SelmorMtukudzi is justified to a larger extent, though Daisy 🌼 might feel that she worked hard for what she jointly owned with her husband, she should remember that she married a married man & she should carry her cross! BOGUS DOCTOR NABBED AT MPILO CENTRAL HOSPITAL. Story by Yolanda Moyo. A suspected bogus doctor was arrested at Mpilo Central Hospital in Bulawayo this Tuesday after being caught attending to patients. The suspect identified as Prosper Mpofu was apprehended while attending to patients at the outpatient department at Mpilo Central Hospital in Bulawayo. The alarm was raised after a patient presented a prescription with medication that was not commonly prescribed for the patient's ailment, prompting hospital staff to investigate. Mr Thabani Ndlovu recounted how he came into contact with the suspected fake doctor,” I got to know about the doctor through my church mate who was hired by the doctor. My church mate connected us to him as my wife has a heart problem and we came this morning looking for him but he was not around he told us to wait for him. We then decided to join the queue at the out patient’s department so that when he arrives we would be ready. We managed to see a doctor at the outpatient department as we waited for him to come since he had offered to help us.” Ndlovu further said that they managed to see the alleged fake doctor who then took them to the rooms at the out patients department, that is when he was apprehended by hospital authorities. ZBC News has obtained copies of prescriptions issued by the suspected fake doctor, which contained numerous errors, including incorrect dosages and misspelled drug names. According to Mpilo hospital authorities, the impostor had infiltrated the hospital's ranks, wearing a white coat and stethoscope, and presenting himself as a qualified medical professional operating from the outpatients department. Zimbabwe Republic Police Bulawayo spokesperson, Inspector Abednico Ncube confirmed the arrest of the bogus doctor.
