JUST IN: ABIA HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY MOVES TO TACKLE NOISE POLLUTION BY WORSHIP CENTRES, HOTELS etc. In a substantial move to curb noise pollution in Abia State, the Abia House of Assembly under Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Ihuoma Emeruwa received a motion today on the regulation of the use of loud outdoor speakers in residential areas. This significant motion, the H.A.M. 49 sponsored by the member representing Aba Central, Hon. Ucheonye Stephen Akachukwu, prayed the house to resolve the following: 1. That the House should urge the State Government, through the Abia State Environmental Protection Agency (ASEPA) and other relevant agencies, to enforce the existing laws and regulations on noise control at the residential areas in the State with a view to ensuring that the level of noise in these areas does not exceed 55 decibels between 6am and 10pm. 2. That the House should urge the State Government to embark on a public awareness campaign on noise control to educate the citizens and organisations on the need to use soundproof equipment or limit loud noisy speakers in the residential areas. 3. That the House should urge the state government to designate specific areas for open-air loudspeaker activities to balance citizens' rights to worship, respect for the environment and residents' right to peace. Crucially, to ensure that this motion receives accelerated implementation, the speaker, Rt Hon. Emmanuel Ihuoma Emeruwa, established that there are laws and regulations already in existence to this effect; however, he resolved that the house shall reach out to the various mayors of local government areas to enforce these laws in their jurisdiction.

I just witnessed SNAKE IN THE BATHROOM NOW!!!. God saved me because I've never been this terrified before, I had a stressful day and one of the things that cools me down is music and hot bath, I entered the bathroom connected my Bluetooth and start bathing, at a point, I heard a sound, I paused a bit opened my soapy eyes and i didn't see anything, I continued bathing and singing my song, a few seconds later I felt a touch on my knee, I jumped up in fear, opened my soapy eyes and low and behold there is a big snake in front of me, out of fear, I used clean water to clean my eyes thoroughly and I was ready to attack the demon sent to me, on opening my eyes, I discovered it was my 10 inches Anaconda Dick, The fear left me immediately and I started smiling, It's been a crazy night

@sirmapy I'm a Christian and the first thing I'd do if elected into any position of authority is ban building or establishment of new churches. The kingdom of God is advanced through our character being in harmony with that of Christ not 100k churches.

Many churches open very close to each other. Sometimes four in one building. Believers trying to out compete with each other. Everybody wants to match what the other is doing but is that what God is really calling you to do? Did you really hear God about that feature or app?

Look at the world… you’ll find Chinatowns in almost every country, with Chinese cultural leaders, festivals, even community structures, but you don’t see chaos or people burning things over it. You’ve got Indian communities across the globe celebrating their traditions, crowning cultural figures, hosting festivals… no one is panicking saying "they’re taking over." Even Europeans move everywhere British, French, Spanish communities exist worldwide and nobody is fighting because someone represents their culture abroad. So why is it different with us? If Nigerians crown a king in East London, it doesn’t suddenly make him king of South Africa… it’s clearly a cultural/community thing. Why are we so quick to fight, destroy, and divide? Africans,kanti yini ngani… what are we really angry at? Why do we hate each other like this?
