There is God in heaven who answers prayers. He has brought us this far. We have gratitude in our hearts.

@SCthestallion @GodsgreatG In the case of oil spill, the financial burden to clean the ocean is far more than the return on scrapping the vessel for her hull (metal) and machineries.
English

@GodsgreatG This is bad they could've taken is outta the sea and sale it as a scrabbled metal than sinking it in the waters .... That's a very big loss

The Deliberate Sinking of the Stellar Banner
The Marshall Islands–flagged MV Stellar Banner, a massive Very Large Ore Carrier measuring 340 meters in length and 55 meters in beam, was built in 2016 and operated by South Korea’s Polaris Shipping.
In February 2020, the vessel ran aground off the coast of Brazil while laden with iron ore. The grounding caused extensive hull damage and led to significant cargo loss, compromising the ship’s structural integrity.
After careful assessment, the vessel was declared a total constructive loss. With salvage no longer viable, authorities approved a controlled scuttling.
On June 12, 2020, the Stellar Banner was deliberately sunk at sea, marking a historic moment as the largest ship ever intentionally scuttled.
Her sinking closed the chapter on one of the most notable maritime casualties of modern times and remains a stark reminder of the risks faced by even the largest ships at sea.

@PrissyRose4 @GodsgreatG Aside for safety concerns, it also prevents pollution (fuel, oil and chemical spill). The vessel ran aground and salvaging it might result to unpredictable drifting or breaking apart which will lead to oil spill. Check the case of Exxon Valdez.
English

@GodsgreatG Instead of sinking why not take it out and rebuild it.
Well this looks scary, hope no human was in there?

@gotrice2024 They shouldn’t have alongside without a fender at the jetty or on the sides of the boat. This is absolutely negligence.

Docking shouldn’t be like this, what did they do wrong?

Interesting craft, a utv strapped to two jet skis. Why does it have a roll cage if it’s impossible to flip? Worth $250k?
