Cravings on an ancestral diet do not vanish overnight. Most people expect the pull toward sugar and processed food to switch off instantly. Biology does not work that way. A craving is not weakness. It is a signal. The real skill is reading what it means. Years of reaching for bread or chocolate under stress build strong brain associations. Removing the food does not erase the habit. Old patterns fade slowly, not instantly. Undereating fat is the most common cause of cravings. Lean meat without fat leaves the body searching for fast fuel. That search feels like a craving for carbs. Insulin drops when carbohydrate intake drops. Lower insulin means the kidneys hold less sodium. Sodium loss brings fatigue, irritability, and a hunger that has nothing to do with food. The fix is salt, not willpower. Fat adaptation takes weeks. Mitochondria build the enzymes needed to burn fat efficiently. Energy dips during this window are temporary, not a sign of failure. Emotional eating is real and separate from physical hunger. Dessert after dinner for years builds an expectation, not a need. Fifteen minutes of distraction often ends the urge. Mainstream advice blames willpower. Physiology says otherwise. What’s actually driving the last craving that wouldn’t quit: hunger, minerals, or habit?

Channing Tatum says he went from 245 pounds to 172 by fasting until 3 PM and eating two small meals a day “I used to be able to lose weight really quickly. I could fluctuate almost 25 to 30 pounds in three weeks” “In that middle photo, I was about 245. In the last photo, I was about 172. It was a big cut. I only planned to get down to 185” “I was fasting from when I woke up till about 2:00 or 3:00 every day, then I’d have two small meals of meat and vegetables and just light, long cardio”

@Sheridanblog Ant can’t throw a lob to Gobert. Gobert is unplayable cause no one can throw a lob. Lamelo can create that. Makes the Wolves spacing much better since teams will actually have to guard the paint more.

This is a super strange move to me. When you have two guys in the backcourt who need the ball to be great, it usually nullifies both to an extent and requires sacrifice. Whatever people thought AntMan's potential could be, it's a wrap. He just got capped for years to come.

BREAKING: The Charlotte Hornets are trading star guard LaMelo Ball and Josh Green to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Naz Reid, a 2033 unprotected first-round pick, three first-round pick swaps (2028, 2029, 2030) and three second-round picks (2029, 2032, 2033), sources tell ESPN.

@PaulCharchian You can improve ankle durability, but improving handles and passing skills is almost impossible. Looking forward to see Gobert eating with perfect lobs.

Dislike. Ball is hurt constantly and wants the ball in his hands. Even if you throw out Naz’s icon status, he’s an important offensive inside-out big man for the Wolves. Plus the picks.

@NBAisBest4 @MediJo20 Miami doesn’t really need a PG with how well their bigs can create their own offense. What they really need is another 3 point shooter that can run off a screen like Powell. Maybe bring back Struss or Duncan Robinson.

@MediJo20 Keeping Larson is pretty huge. Him and Fontecchio off the bench is not that bad. I feel like the main issue is having literally no PG rotation.

Starting 5 could be nice if they resign their FAs but the bench is terrible. when you empty the chamber of your best young pieces (Jaquez, Ware) and your main salary engine (Herro), the roster gets top heavy fast Some immediate thoughts - Giannis / Bam frontcourt is going to be an absolute nightmare defensively. The sheer versatility, switching ability and paint protection will be elite. But the floor spacing is going to be a massive grind unless they find some serious shooters to put around them - Portis in the deal helps soften the blow slightly for the second unit, but they are essentially going to be relying on min contracts/ring chasers/Spo’s classic developmental magic to fill out the rest of the rotation - If the offense bogs down due to zero spacing, they risk looking a lot like those recent “high end defense, low end offense” squads that hit a hard ceiling in the playoffs (cough cough Orlando)
Shams Charania@ShamsCharania

BLOCKBUSTER: The Milwaukee Bucks are trading franchise icon Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis to the Miami Heat for Tyler Herro, Kel'el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kasparas Jakucionis, 3 first-round picks (including No. 13), 1 pick swap and 1 second-rounder, sources tell ESPN.

Neurologists are treating migraines with drugs that don't work. People who take triptans will confirm this to be true. The problem is that migraine is not caused by some kind of triptan deficiency. Migraine is an indication of mitochondrial dysfunction -- which is why therapies that target mitochondria, including ketosis & ice baths, reduce the frequency and severity of migraine headaches. No one in the throes of an acute migraine episode wants to hear a damn thing about going zero carb or immersing themselves in freezing water. And they shouldn't. For most people, a 10 minute session with MyGreen Lamp will relieve the pain of migraine headaches. Only use your ice bath to prevent migraines. Use MyGreen to treat them.
Benjamin Bikman@BenBikmanPhD

The brain really does thrive in the midst of ketones; I doubt there's a tissue in the body that benefits as much as the brain. This latest study explores the efficacy of a ketogenic diet in improving sleep disturbances associated with migraine headaches. In fact, I believe the oldest human evidence on the utility of a ketogenic diet on migraines is over 100 years old now. Let your brain eat ketones! #migraine #headaches pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39585050/

Modern fruit is not ancestral food. Modern fruit is candy that we agreed to feel virtuous about. The wild banana was a stubby pod packed with hard black seeds and barely any flesh. The wild watermelon was pale, bitter, and small enough to hold in one hand. The wild apple was a sour, astringent crab apple that would make a toddler cry. We spent ten thousand years breeding out the bitterness and breeding in the sugar. Every fruit in your supermarket is the end point of a multi-millennium selective breeding programme with one goal: more sweet, less defence. You are not eating what your ancestors ate. You are eating the genetically-curated dessert version, available year-round, refrigerated, in quantities no human before 1900 could have dreamed of. Then we act surprised that the dessert behaves like dessert.

#Titans QB Cam Ward says he’s been doing more cardio and closely monitoring his calorie, carb, and protein intake this offseason with the goal of getting leaner. Ward later said he’s lost 10 pounds.

Interesting: #Titans HC Robert Saleh said one of the first moves the team made in its nutrition overhaul was removing all seed oils from the building. He says players have appreciated it.
