Ofcourse they would always get kinder treatment than Blizzard themselves because praising community content simultaneously serves as an expression of frustration with Blizz because "see? they have no excuse!" It's the same reason why my art gets way more praise than it would had it been in the game. But that's only part of the picture and Turtle Wow has demonstrated the community reaction to different types or content in a way Blizzard could never have done without already needing to commit to a Classic + themselves.

Btw, Blizzard 100% held off the red button for a while on these Classic + servers because they could get unbelievably valuable data from them they'd have literally no way of gathering themselves Imo Project Epoch etc are all cooked. Classic Plus is coming so the nukes are flying

You know a game ain’t got a cohesive team or a director with vision when stuff like this happens. Because it’s just a buncha people being delegated tasks to do and one of them was run and another was jump then they mash it together and call it a day. As a game dev I actually care when my jump is faster than my run and fix it. For instance you can add stamina so spending all stamina running is faster than spending all stamina jumping. Or you can have the cooldown for jumping just enough that spamming jump can’t outrun a runner and so on. There’s so many ways. But it’s only interesting if you care about your craft and your game. If you don’t, like the developers of rematch, who simply are there to get paid, then this happens.
