Favour Adeniyi 🤭@afrotechbabe

They raised at $17.5M and got acquired for $30M. Shouldn’t it be more? Or is it because they aren’t a very mature company yet? I’d have expected an acquisition of at least $60M.

Hiring: Founder’s Office (Generalist) Pay: $400 per month Location: Remote This is a Founder’s Office role. You’ll work directly with me across strategy, ops, content, research, and execution. The work will change week to week. Being honest upfront: At $400/month, I’m not expecting brilliance, an insane CV, or pedigree. What I do expect is hunger, curiosity, and a real desire to learn and grow fast. DM me with: •Your best work till date (anything you’re proud of: writing, analysis, projects, experiments, decks, code, research, etc.) •No long intros. Let the work speak. If you’re hungry and serious about growing, this will compound.

I was in Ibagwa-Aka, Igbo Eze South LGA, Enugu State in October this year and visited the residence of Alhaji Jimoh Rauf Gbadamosi, CEO JRB SOLAR. There, I interviewed his mother, younger sister and brother-in-law. Though from Osun State, he is seen as an angel in human form by the residents of Ibagwa-Aka because of the numerous philanthropic activities he does regularly. This is Onuchukwu to Ibagwa-Aka Town Roundabout in Igbo Eze South LGA. The road is almost done and dusted by him alone. This beautiful road work construction was handled by Engr Nnanna Ogbuja, CEO Buffalo And Bay Construction. Good people don't say tribe first but humanity first!

When I lost my job in 2020, my mom looked into my eyes & said “I have entered into a covenant with God that no woman married to any of my sons would suffer because of lack. Except there is no God in heaven” 1 week later, I got 3 job offers.

With @Web3LagosCon done, it’s time to appreciate everyone who has been a part of this years experience; our amazing sponsors, our community partners, top speakers, vendors, the team and all the participants that showed from every part of Nigeria and the world. Web3Lagos conference from the start was designed after @EthCC and this year again, it was beautiful to see many Web3 communities in Africa showed up. It was exciting to see people networking and some meeting IRL for the first time after a long time working together. The sense of community representation, the joy and excitement in faces. The quality of the conversation and topics, the feedbacks (negative and positive) that we have received shows that the conference is on the right path and we are growing as well as we should grow. As we prepare for the 5th edition of the conference, our team is fully set and ready to effect all feedback, see to it that we put up another top event that organically bring in communities. Also, thanks to all the friends of @Web3Bridge who showed up for us at individual capacities; sponsoring people to attend the event, sending funds, calling in with words of grace and encouragement and even calling every morning to pray for the event, myself and the team. We are grateful for the privilege and the trust and we will ensure to keep delivering amazing event for the continent and supporting and learning from others. @hyperbridge @LiskHQ @EF_ESP @ENS_DAO @arbitrum @Wagatoken @Polkadot @Stellar_WA @StarknetFndn @olanetsoft @Sir_Damilare @jamitHQ @kingmessang_ @seunlanlege

This is an open appreciation to the team managing speaker selection for @Web3LagosCon. From the first year of the conference, I decided to allow a complete independent team manage the selection of speakers to ensure that we accept quality talks and also open opportunities to new speakers who might not be popular enough to be invited for other events. While I contributed to the selection during the first conference, I gradually allowed them 100% control over the process so as to ensure that we have a competent process and I’m glad this men and lady has giving their best. I remember seeing them dropping a meeting link by 11pm 2days ago and I choose to join in at 12am to see how things are going. From an event of 30+ speakers, we have moved to 110+ and these amazing humans have has given their best to the process. I know it might be too early for this but I see how heavy it was this year amidst all your schedules and grateful how well you have handled things so far @LionessAtEase @SulemanHezekiah @AdogheDavid @NonseOdion
