Officers Caught In Extortion Act...
Here, in this video, is the deputy team lead of the police squad at Old GRA Port Harcourt, extorting a motorist before he can release his seized car papers.
Note that this motorist had all his papers up to date. Still, he was extorted after being detained for hours.
As it is their modus operandi, they demand for cash, no transfers.
They mentioned that they are given a weekly target by the DPO and must meet it so they can service their vehicle and also make returns to their superiors.
This is happening in an area regarded as the elite environment in Port Harcourt. You can imagine what the ordinary locals may be going through.
