@acaseofthegolf1 @Challenge_Tour From an Aussie, so good to have your stories thru the year on these guys who come out here to play. Love your work.

Jordan Gumberg turned pro in 2017. He struggled, got exemptions into KFT events and PGA Tour events along w a few starts via Mondays.
He went a combined Zero for 20 in those events.
Kept at it, and in 2023 got an exemption into @Challenge_Tour and finished 2nd, then finished 3rd in the next event and earned a DP Card.
Then this March he won in South Africa in a co-sanctioned event. And now he leads the Aussie Open.

@bryanbrosgolf Would've been nice to see more than one shot amd one putt tho

Professional golf wants to grow its audience and start making a return on billions of dollars invested. The only way to do that will be producing more riveting Sundays like we just saw at The Players @NoLayingUp nolayingup.com/blog/hey-golf-…

@NBL_News Is this really a conversation. Come on now. Heal was fantastic, delly spiritual, but the goat is the goat.

@TheHolyBoot @swa11ace Same. My 2c is that NRL gets more coverage because of the Raiders. That would even up if there was a full time footy team.

@HowardFMaclean @canberratimes Used to ride a lot.. and tbh on Cbr roads seems right. The shoulders and cycle lanes are an abomination of debris.

So one of the @canberratimes letter writing regulars (Leon Arundell) often makes claims that modern bike tires puncture every 500kms, which seems to me to be really low? If this were true, people would be getting two punctures every 5 weeks on a 20km round commute?

I was recently followed on Instagram by 90's NBL high flyer Matt Scalzi... and fittingly came across this highlight a few days ago on one of my tapes!! @nbl @nblhistory

@PT_CBR Can you please post this as a letter to CT editor and City News.

It really is worth reading this whole thing about how much light rail actually costs the ACT budget each year ($56m last year), even as a portion of the ACT PT budget ($261m on buses last year).
Howard Maclean@HowardFMaclean
In Canberra, our entire political and media debate about the ACT's finances is predicated around the idea that Light Rail is a *really big deal* for the budget. Problem is, it's completely wrong. Light Rail probably cost around $56 million to the budget in 2022. #Canberra
