One week post-surgery. I'm slowly regaining the ability to use my left hand/arm. Getting dressed is no longer a huge struggle...the only clothing I can't wear yet are jeans due to needing both hands to bottom them up. But I've been able to wear t-shirts and stuff again!!

Surgery went well! I've already got some usage back in my left arm/hand, but getting my wrist to cooperate will take some time. A plate, several screws, and loads of stitches later....it's all good!

@aWeeG3 I'm in a lot of pain, which is to be expected with the type of surgery I had. I had thought I'd be okay to work today...boy, was I ever wrong! I didn't go in today and I've got the next 2 days off. Fingers are crossed for Saturday!

@AdriftKitty Is why I love my pain management doc- he knows me too well & has OUR SOH. He'll be like, "Is it 'hit by a train', 'hit by a bus', or 'run over by a golf cart'"? 🤣🤣🤣 How did surgery go?? 🍀💚💚💚

hey! Remember in September when I had an emergency appendectomy 2 weeks after my shoulder surgery? yeah, the good times keep rolling... I now have a hernia at the site of that appendectomy incision. My intestines are popping out. WICKED fkng fun.😃👍🏽 it's GREAT. really. yummy.

@aWeeG3 That's pretty much my response too! I have to tell them that the usual pain scale doesn't work for me all the time lol

@AdriftKitty You & me both, sistah. I only take my pain meds at night...they don't help the pain much, but they do make me go to sleep so I don't feel it any more 😅 "Rate your pain on a scale of 1-10" omG&G do I hate that question "uhm, a normal person wd be deceased by now😬?"

Serious question: what do you do with leftover bacon?

@aWeeG3 I only take anything for pain if I can't handle the pain anymore. I really don't like taking pain meds at the best of times. I have 11 of the 15 Dilaudid pills I was prescribed from the ER...high pain threshold haha I hope your surgery goes well and that you heal quickly!

@AdriftKitty yeah...I'm about to use the very last 4 days of my PTO. Yet sadly, it'll be more time off for this surgery than any of the first THREE, so, that's something, right?😒 Hopefully they can give you something better! Careful w nsaids, Love; it can cause excessive bleeding.

@aWeeG3 It's always possible! The worst part is that I can't afford to take a lot of time off work, but extra strength advil is cheap LOL

@AdriftKitty oh, Sweetheart! 😟 That must be scary. I'm so sorry! VERY happy they're acting so quickly, tho!! Blessings for a full & fast recovery💚🍀 My surgery's Tuesday, too. Maybe we'll meet up in an anesthesia-induced walk-about 🤣

@aWeeG3 I'm scheduled for surgery on Tuesday due to winding up with radial palsy. When I left the hospital, I could move my wrist and fingers on my own, but I've since lost that ability. The nerve could be just pinched or squished from all the swelling, but Ortho isn't taking chances!

@AdriftKitty meh. Oysters are gross, anyway. 🤣😭 I love ya Lady. How are YOU??? How's that arm doing??

I'm not looking forward to next week. I dislike the idea of being cut open, but it is what it is :/

Some more of tbe bruising. Two weeks after I broke my humerus, I'm still a bit swollen and bruised. And I'm scheduled for surgery this coming Tuesday because I've developed radial nerve palsy since I broke the arm...Ortho wants to make sure there's no permanent damage :/

Splint on. Hopefully it doesn't irritate me like the temporary get-up did!

There was a young lady that was dancing near me all night. Just seeing her face light up when Alan handed her one of his picks was incredible.

Back from the show! I swear Alan Doyle just keeps getting better with age! And the opening band, the East Pointers, was amazing yoo!

@smithliz29 I popped a couple of Advil during the show when my arm started hurting! I felt silly because I couldn't clap along lol

@AdriftKitty Was wondering how it all went especially in front of the home crowd... glad you enjoyed it despite your broken arm...:)

Busted humerus isn't going to keep me away from seeingAlan Doyle tomorrow!

My day started out with a crack...broke my humerus slipping on ice in my driveway. Go me. Sitting in the ER at HSC waiting on Ortho to see if the break gas been set correctly. Woo.

@smithliz29 If I thought I could get back up, I'd be on my knees praying for it!

@AdriftKitty The winter looks really bad there...I don't know how you do it seriously... digging your way out of that everyday and trying to get to work... I guess your praying for spring :)

Outside my front door last night around 9pm-ish. My car was shoveled out enough that I could get out, but the roomie's car was buried! He always waits until the last minute to do ANY shoveling which is why I focus on what I need done first.
