They actually do sound alike.
They're both from the ancestral Niger-Congo langauge family, while Twi falls under the Kwa branch and Igbo the Volta-Niger branch.
They're both don't just have similar tone system and musical rhythm, but also share similar structure with the predominant SVO (Subject -> Verb -> Object) structure.
There are actual studies on this, I'm not just making it up

If a job is not waiting for you in canada, and you don’t have visa issues in the UK, I don’t see any justification for moving from UK to Canada… weaker currency, harsher weather, worse public transport system.
