Today marks the 20th Anniversary of September 11, 2001. Hacienda La Puente Unified remembers all those who lost their lives and the first responders who risk their lives to keep our country safe.

Today we celebrate and honor Juneteenth, a day of freedom! 156 years ago, federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, to take control of the state and ensure all enslaved people are freed. Nearly 3 years after the emancipation proclamation was signed. Happy Juneteenth!
