The completed route. The ride along the Niagara River Parkway in Canada is beautiful. I'm sure it's also nice when it doesnt rain. "Stay dry", said a guy at the hotel. "Not a chance" was my response. Key is to embrace the liquid sunshine. 48 days and 2500 miles #BicycleTour

Tough day. Lots of head winds. But I made it ... an international #BicycleTour.

I've been riding hard on the empire state trail / erie canal. Last night in the tent. Tomorrow I'll have a hotel in Niagara Falls Ontario. Tuesday bike to Buffalo to pickup rental car and drive home. #BicycleTour is ending

I just got a tour lock 7 of the Eri Canal in NY. It's fully functional and a boat went through it while I was there. So cool! #BicycleTour

Decision time. Not really. #BicycleTour

I survived another cold night in my tent. Tomorrow and the night after will be below 40 degrees. Not a chance to sleep with my lightweight sleeping bag in these temperatures. I'm trying to find some alternatives. #BicycleTour

Tough day. Lots of road riding with hills and headwinds. 80 miles today. I have to remind myself of all the good parts earlier in the day: 2,000 miles, awsome Hudson crossing, an awsome trail. I hope it doesn't get too cold tonight with the wind and platform. #BicycleTour

Yesterday was my longest day with 98 miles. This morning I reached 2000 miles as I crossed the Hudson River. Really beautiful views too. #BicycleTour

Sad news. Dahlia decided to stay in NYC. He jumped off in Manatten or Bronx. He's been riding with me for over 1,000 miles since Illinois. Best wishes to him. May he have many more adventure.

I've decided not to end my bicycle tour yet, but to extend it once more. Tomorrow I'll start riding the Empire State Trail towards Buffalo, NY. I had a great time in NYC, sighting, biking and attending shows.

In Ocean City, NJ. It would have been a bingo mark, had I not ridden so much around town. 41 miles today. I still have no clue how far or where I'll sleep tomorrow. Tomorrow the route is taking me inland before taking me to the coast at Seaside Hights. #BicycleTour #IAtoNYC
