@AeonByte Great show, important topic!
Re what happened to the Goddess, an essential classic on this is The Chalice and the Blade by Riane Eisler if you haven't read.
She explores the last holdout of the Goddess culture on Crete (6000 BC) + how it was gradually overrun by nomadic tribes.

@tinfoil_tony The Daughter of Fortitude sessions definitely support your argument.

@AeonByte Dee was actually deeply engaged in reestablishing the shekhinah/wisdom goddess tradition that was so heavily eroded by the renaissance period. I don’t necessarily disagree with the notion that he may have been misled by lower astral energies but to dismiss him wholesale isn’t it

@DavidBarbelo @AeonByte I really appreciate that. Very hard to grow on X. Doing better on Instagram, Tiktok and YouTube. But I'm not stopping. Appreciate your support!

@SecretSunBlog And we can’t forget that glam rock via mother love bone was the foundation to Seattle rockers.
English

Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Smashing Pumpkins, Alice in Chains and Stone Temple Pilots were not "grunge." They were all traditional hard rock/heavy metal bands.
The "grunge" style wasn't invented in Seattle, nor was the term. Nirvana's In Utero is arguably grunge because of Shorteyed Steve Albini, but Nevermind is standard late 80s punk/indie, straight up.
I heard "grunge" or "grungy" used all the time back in the early 80s, to describe noise/low-fi/loser bands like Flipper, Hose, Black Flag, Butthole Surfers, etc
"Grunge" most often referred to the shrieky feedback and overall godawful noise that spewed out of MXR distortion pedals, at least when in the hands of inept musicians.

@SecretSunBlog @gemugirl I blame Bono and Michael Stipe for everything
English

@gemugirl Stupid fun was what the 80s were all about. Before grunge and proto-woke shat all over everything like the worthless parasites they all were.

@miscnomer Definitely. We can cite the allegory of the cave in the republic and a copy found on the nag hammadi library

While the actual religious belief in Gnosticism is “niche”, as in not many people genuinely believe it to be true, it’s certainly not a very niche thing to know about, and pre-Christian gnostic-esque ideology can be found in Plato and Aristotle, so…
