Black-thrash is the best kind of thrash and this is a great example of why that is true. Sophisticated and memorable riffs, great harmonies and interesting variation on the styles. Artist: Transilvania 🇦🇹 Album: Magia Posthuma Cover Art: Alina Noldin Released: March 13th, 2026

Thought I’d share some of the albums that got me through the week. Not including today’s releases. Some may be obscure, but any fans of some of these? My taste is a lot different genres of metal. Depends on my mood. Feel free to follow and I’ll do the same. Unless you’re a weird bot or something. I like connecting to see what people are listening to and try it out. That’s one reason I do the “Share an album…” posts. I’ve listened to a lot of great albums that way and maybe you found a few as well. Thanks! 🤘🏼😆🤘🏼

Check out my review of the latest heap of black metal majesty from Coscradh! facebook.com/share/1F8Z5zQC… A vile and menacing onslaught of pure black metal brutality. Coscradh's latest slab of insanity "Carving the Causeway to the Otherworld" is something that needs to be heard. Anarchy and violent overtures set this truly dynamic album apart from the rest of the genre. It is all over the place with its depth and emotional baggage. A sinister masterclass in the dark arts. Their sophomore follow up to the vehement 2022 debut "Nahanagan Stadial", this Irish black metal regime checks all the boxes. It's heavy, violent and littered with vocal ferocity. A blistering inferno of classic black metal aura blending the hostile modern day take of the genre is something that sets this record apart from the rest. At 44 minutes this record plays at a frenetic pace, often finding the listener at the very end without even realizing it! The title track is a crash course in unholy depth as the song crushes you from the start. A wild all over the place track that reaches for your throat with icy fingertips. "Adhradh De Ghoac" and "Scythe of Saturn" battle it out for the best songs on the record. Both are explosive and gritty. Both leave you in a pile of molten ashes as they pulverize the listener with deadly forays of riffs, blast beats and blood cuddling death screams. A healthy heap of depraved and sinful black metal majesty. The record takes a wild and malevolent twist with "Badhah's Shadows." Slow drawn out blackened doom breakdowns that are meant for an impious haunting of he psyche. A breathtaking soundscape that only Coscradh can do! Coscradh has done their homework and released a mindblowing modern metal masterpiece. They sketch their own dynamic blueprint in the genre by giving us a taste of the founders view blending in with their own modern taste. This record will be forever remembered the way some of the classics have been remembered. Nothing sounds like Coscradh, and that's how it's supposed to be. An explosion of talent and godless tranquility!

I wish metal bands would stick to no more than one single pre-album drop ... 3 or more singles is just taking the piss and serving the streaming algorithms ... fack that, just give me the full release !!! (Yes, old man yells at clouds... haha)

@AeonsAbyss Nah it’s not old man yelling. If your unsigned then you gotta get your shit out there. But if you’re on a label then yeah ppl know who you are & you don’t need a single. Also fuck streaming, give me a physical copy of your hard earned. 🤘🤘🤘

ON THIS DAY IN METAL February 10th, 2023 — Swedish melodic death metal pioneers In Flames release Foregone, their fourteenth studio album. A fierce return to melodeath roots, the record fuses classic Göteborg-style aggression with modern production and renewed intensity. 🔥 Does Foregone rank among In Flames’ strongest modern-era releases for you? #OnThisDayInMetal #InFlames #Foregone #MelodicDeathMetal #GothenburgMetal #MetalHistory
