My brother, Liridon, passed away at the hands of the state. From the jury’s conclusions it is painfully obvious, the very people that were meant to be protecting his life, contributed to his death. inquest.org.uk/liridon-saliuk…

Saturday evening at 9:20, my husband lost his fight to cancer. I can’t tell you how devastated I am. Seven years of his life taken from him spent in Prison incarcerated an innocen man I will never stop fighting to clear his name. It is disgraceful what my husband has gone through

Having a disability is not a choice, yet even with legal protections under the Equality Act 2010, people with disabilities are often among the most disadvantaged and overlooked in society.

Your voice may be gone, but your love still guides me, Liridon. You left this world to find peace, and while I grieve deeply, I’m comforted knowing you are resting peacefully, my brother.

Six years have passed since you left us, Liridon, and not a day goes by without thinking of you. I hold onto the love, laughter, and warmth you shared, and your memory brings me a quiet peace. Always in my heart 🤍

@HudaAmmori Being on remand shouldn’t be a death sentence. Yet people awaiting trial face a higher risk of dying in custody. Too many prison deaths are preventable.

My heart is with everyone in prison on hunger strike right now. I lost my brother in prison due to staff failures and disability discrimination. No one should have to suffer or risk their life to be heard. Dignity, accountability, and humanity must matter.

I am gravely concerned about the safety and well-being of the six prisoners on hunger strike. The lack of media coverage over this emergency is truly shocking. Ask your MP to sign the EDM, demanding urgent action from the Justice Secretary, here: edm.parliament.uk/early-day-moti…

Today is #InternationalDayOfPersonswithDisabilities. Disabled prisoners often report more negatively in our surveys than their non-disabled peers, but we do see good practice in some jails. Find out more below ⬇️

A prison has been slammed after placing a British Asian man in a cell with a known racist who then murdered him. HMP Belmarsh ‘did not properly consider’ Stevie Hilden’s history of racism when they assigned Sundeep Ghuman as his cellmate at HMP Belmarsh. asianimage.co.uk/news/25624475.…
