Teaching him made my heart heavy. We had parents who sacrificed to send us to madrasah, yet we forget how blessed we are. We act like we know enough, but there’s still so much to learn. May Allah keep us humble and always seeking knowledge.

We take so much for granted as Muslims. In Jamaat, during ta’leem, a brother came from outside and sat with us and said he wants to learn how to pray. He didn’t know the faraidh, wajibat, or sunan despite being born Muslim.

It has been narrated from Imām Abū Yūsuf رحمه الله that he said: “Just as my wife beautifying herself for me pleases me, me adorning myself for her also impresses her.” [al-Fatāwā al-Hindiyyah, 5/359]

It has been narrated that Imām Abū Ḥanīfah would stay awake during half the night for worship. On one instance, he was walking the pathway when a man pointed towards him, informing his companion: “He is the one who stays awake the entire night for worship.” 1/2
