Last week @SKyriakides met Bulgarian Minister of Health, Hristo Hinkov in Sofia. Talking to the press, the 🇪🇺 Commissioner for Health reaffirmed the importance of preserving #competition inside the #internalmarket and avoiding #export bans.

Last week, 5️⃣ pharma companies got a €13.4 million fine from the @EU_Commission. They participated from 2005 in a cartel aimed at fixing for nearly 15 years the price of a key API used to produce Buscopan and allocating quotas for distributors. More 👉 bit.ly/3FC4Zkw

#Parallelimport The literature shows that a reduction in trade costs within the European Union leads to more competition between EU businesses. This in turn may lead to more innovation and greater productivity and, ultimately, to higher levels of economic growth.
