If I’m not wrong, I think this is the moment where he told Güler something like, “these kids play without using their brains.” Not gonna lie, I really didn’t like Gündoğan’s attitude during his time with us. As a player, he did well, no doubt, but in terms of character, it felt like he came in with the mentality of a captain from a treble-winning team joining a group of players he didn’t fully respect. It often gave the impression that he saw himself as above the rest, like he was coming in to “teach” a team of kids rather than integrate into it. And in trying to be a leader, he sometimes crossed the line into making it feel like he was bigger than the group itself. If you compare that to Lewandowski, who was an even bigger name when he joined, he never gave off that kind of vibe.
