This may be a long shot - But there was someone who attended one of our events a few years ago and he performed an oral story and worked as a primary school teacher - I can't remember his name - but if he so happens to see this, or knows who it might be, send a tweet/dm 🙏🏾

1% of professors in the UK are black Considering it's a struggle for Black-British academics to be employed, accepted, valued and taken seriously regarding lecturing positions in universities, you'd hope they would have the opportunity to teach their own stories, at least

@__sethunya @AmaraOnwuka @Shaliah88014479 @AlexVivyNnabue The temptation to pump so much was greater for me. Learnt to stop pumping after few weeks since I ended up pouring out most of the pumped milk anyway. The pain before the milk production finally reduced was something else😭

@AmaraOnwuka @Shaliah88014479 @AlexVivyNnabue Lol no not necessarily. (Im a trained breastfeeding support assistant). Its not recommended you use pumps til after a couple weeks. But after, you can use a breastpump or hand express if your baby missed a feed. They would have fed there anyway.

@Smokingrum1 @AlexVivyNnabue @Shaliah88014479 I slept when my baby slept if i felt tired. Whatever needed to be done i did whilst babywearing him. And youre not always going to feel tired to go sleep when he does. The advice is there to remind mothers to take care of themselves - sleep is very important.

@AlexVivyNnabue @Shaliah88014479 Also this thing about sleeping when the baby sleeps is a myth i am sure. Because when baby sleeps there are a million things to do before he/she wakes up again. Bottles, pump parts, teeth and yourself to wash. Plus get something to eat.

I want to see more stories like this on twitter🙏🏾 Stories of how your partner, sibling, friend, spouse, etc showed you how much they loved you. It's nice to fill the TL with examples of what love looks like instead of what it doesn't. Positive examples inspire too.

Barbados has removed Queen of England as head of state! It was Britain's first slave colony, & some of the first enslaved people Britain took to mainland America were from Barbados. As Barbados shakes off the remnants of those chains, do you think other countries will follow?
