At some point, we should talk about people who use language like someone’s “outfit belongs in the Civil Rights Movement” as an insult. Because there’s a very deliberate choice of words with a specific connotation instead of using a more neutral descriptor like vintage or retro.

This is how thick curly hair looks in a ponytail. It is impossible for her hair to be bunched together and "lay flat" on her head. Coco's hair doesn't need more tension, pulling or styling. Her hair isn't able to look like right and that's not a flaw. It's just a difference.
