@SnowCrowJ @bakachoso I do think Choso death was very sad and by far the saddest in the series but I also don't belive his death was purely shock value. I do belive it was built up throughout the series and serves a purpose.

@AfroSam99046080 @bakachoso That’s a dumb perspective. Tsukumo herself wanted Choso to LIVE by Yuji’s side. There was a whole conversation where Yuki was changing his mind on dying against Kenjaku and that was part of his development that Gege abandoned for shock value.

his death was unnecessary and one of the saddest out of any other character also it contradicted what yuki told him about “dying as a curse” so he could live on as a human

@SnowCrowJ @bakachoso Also as far as the themes of JJK the main one Gege seems to push is to find the good in all aspects of life, that being death as well. Imo it fits within the themes to have Choso (a character hellbent on protecting his brothers) die as a human to protect his brother

@SnowCrowJ @bakachoso For me at least the moment between Yuki and Choso mirros Yuji and Choso. As Yuki sacrificed herself so that way Choso could not only live as a human, which is what he did leading up to the final battle, but so he could pass it on to Yuji. He lived as a human and died as one

@bakachoso @SnowCrowJ Its because he got to live as a human, and what is to live if not to sacrifice yourself for those you love (at least from his perspective) Also Choso from the beginning was shown to do anything for his brothers. It was a bittersweet death but was nessecary for the themes of jjk

@Golforo @thabang_moerane I dislike his version too. The problem with Gunn’s version is that he is overcorrection of what snyder did. For example while snyder’s was too stoic, this version is too passive. Superman is supposed to be an authority figure while he has the suit on.
