Western scholars have claimed for decades that Stalin had banned Vygotsky’s work. A historian then went into the archives to verify the claim and found that Vygotsky was venerated as the father of Soviet psychology during the Stalin era and that his work remained in print throughout this period.
The attempt to distort him into a liberal education theorist is unfortunate. He was a quintessentially Soviet thinker whose body of thought was entirely consonant with Stalinism

It's interesting that scholars (oftentimes activist-scholars) proximate to WW2 quite easily identified Nazi Germany's lineage w Western colonialism. In the first pages of German Rule in Russia 1941-45, Alexander Dallin reports how Hitler saw Russia as Germany's India.

The sexual revolution in the U.S entailed sexologists promoting rape, pornography and prostitution, all of which coalesced into human trafficking and paedophilia—driving points of those who sought to destroy the USSR, and later preyed on the victims of their machinations.

The Soviet Union never had its own sexual revolution equivalent, and indeed actively backslid and compromised on issues of women's rights until by the 70's and 80's the United States was genuinely a better place for them to live. The statistics regarding child abuse are also bad.

Stalin's war preparations had Hitler absolutely shook. Not only did Stalin foresee (against the plans of key strategists) Hitler's key strategy of drawing Soviet troops to the border, but when the Germans got into the country they couldn't believe how advanced it was 😭

The kind of transnational elite networks of sexual trafficking organized by Epstein were impossible in the USSR because the state’s regulation of mobility and its extensive social provision for women limited the ability of elites to exploit women on a wide, systematic scale.
This is why human trafficking and exploitation exploded post-collapse, and Epstein himself notably trafficked Eastern European women from the post-Soviet sphere. There was no "Soviet Epstein" because Epsteinism is a Post-Soviet phenomena built on the ruins of communism
Wrt Beria, the extent and scale of his crimes are difficult to surmise because most of the evidence we have for it is essentially hearsay—further amplified during the power struggle against him (see Fitzpatricks book Death of Stalin). Although the sheer extent of corroborating circumstantial evidence of this nature makes it hard to believe he was not a predator of some kind.
Epstein was more than a single, powerful and opportunistic abuser who evaded accountability. He represents an entire transnational infrastructure of predation tightly bound up with the Israeli and American intelligence community.

Soviet egalitarianism was put into practice and not just “on paper.” Historian Katie Brown noted that the “Soviet experiment constituted one of the most progressive nationalities policies in the Western world.” This continued throughout the Stalin era, contrary to popular belief
Brown’s acknowledgment reflects a broader consensus among those scholars writing on Soviet nationality policy. This doesn’t negate the terrible repressions that happened, but it is demonstrably false that the Soviets only pretended to care about racism.
Their approaches in this regard were very contradictory at times, but were still way ahead of Western states in terms of institutional equity policies

stop reading what that monster wrote and look at his actions. On paper the soviet union was against racism, they wrote that down, they were also responsible for systemic ethnic cleansing, colonisation etc and that "enemies of the people" thing was a Euphemism for ethnicity
