From Bonnie McRae, "Thank you @jstewartrr for your vision and initiative to benefit aftercare in the midst of all the excitement around the Kentucky Derby. These donations will have an impact on all organizations who participated and come at a very special time for ATR. And special thank you to @GavinOConnor92, representing Resolute Racing, for playing so hard for ATR. The tournament was thrilling to watch and I was cheering you on the whole way!" We were honored to be chosen as one of the beneficiaries of the event, and so excited to share the win with The RRP! wix.to/VHV53g7

8 year old Patty's Boy (Reflect Times - Run Patty Run, by Aisle) is one super chunk, and hunk, of a gelding. Patty's Boy came to us with a bowed tendon in need of rehabilitation and he cruised through all his mile markers for recovery. He was cleared for turnout a month ago and I'd say the ATR pasture (and nutrition program) suit him just fine. This cool guy is available for adoption via our website!

Social Helen and barn pup Ygritte working together to say THANK YOU to our recent wish list donors. These all came from our Amazon wish list. Only one gift receipt was found (thank you, Kate F.!). If anyone else sent some of these items, let us know so we can thank you too! Looks like ATR is set for baths for a while! @jstewartrr Coming from someone who started in racing with Juddmonte Farms and now works in aftercare rehabilitating horses, most of which come from less glamorous racing careers, I hope you can be the source for positive change you aspire to. Wishing you all the success with your program.

Part 1: A United Endeavor to Enhance Horse Racing in America My decision to actively engage in the world of Thoroughbred breeding and racing stemmed from a desire to play a more significant role in a sport that I admire and love. Horse racing has captivated audiences for centuries in America, but recent events and negative publicity have cast a shadow over the industry. It is imperative for us to redirect our focus towards positive endeavors and unite as a collective to bring about necessary improvements. Some may argue that my relatively short tenure in the sport and substantial financial investments do not entitle me to a seat at the table. I understand and respect this perspective, recognizing that those with more experience are more deserving of an opinion. While it's true that I have only been actively involved for a few months, my love and admiration for the sport have spanned years. I hope that my unwavering passion for the animals and the remarkable individuals who have dedicated themselves to the sport for generations shines through in everything I say and do concerning horse racing in America. Those who know me are aware of the intensity with which I approach any endeavor I undertake. I wholeheartedly dedicate myself to every pursuit, leaving no room for anything less than 100% effort. This mindset has contributed to my success in the business world, where I began as an hourly employee on the night shift for Toyota, earning a mere $10.77 per hour. Fast forward 35 years, and I now proudly serve as the founder, majority owner, and Managing Partner of a private equity firm managing approximately $4 billion in Assets Under Management. My business experience has endowed me with invaluable insights. You may wonder how all of this relates to the horse industry. In truth, the connection may not be obvious, except for the fact that I transitioned from the corporate manufacturing world to a highly competitive and challenging financial realm without holding a degree in finance, yet have achieved some measure of success. When I made the leap from manufacturing to private equity, I endeavored to immerse myself in learning about the industry before assuming a leadership role. One strategy that significantly contributed to my success was challenging the prevailing way of thinking. I firmly believe that adhering to a uniform mindset yields predictable outcomes. When change is necessary, it requires fresh perspectives and thinking outside the established norms. Long-standing employees in a company or industry often struggle to identify the necessary adjustments for a business to excel, as they become entrenched in their perspectives. The saying "you can't see the forest for the trees" illustrates the difficulty of perceiving the big picture when one is too close to a problem. Imagine yourself trapped in a maze, desperately seeking an exit. It proves challenging for nearly anyone. However, armed with an aerial view of the maze, anyone can navigate through it efficiently. This analogy applies to my aspirations for the Thoroughbred breeding and racing industry. I hope that my words inspire others to pause and reflect, and that I can contribute as one participant in steering the industry toward a brighter future. By working together to address the challenges we face and keeping our responsibility to these magnificent animals at the forefront of our actions, we can achieve remarkable things. With that said, I have some observations to share as a "inexperienced newcomer" to the industry. I hope these observations challenge individuals to think differently and encourage collective action, rather than assigning blame. Imagine the incredible accomplishments we could achieve if we channeled all our energy and resources in a unified direction.
