Today, #TeamASI attended the launch of @AgeSector's Telling It Like It Is series – Experiences of Older People at End of Life, hosted by Senator @Fiona_Kildare at Leinster House. The report draws on the @careexperience National End of Life Survey, Ireland’s first nationwide survey of bereaved relatives and friends about care in the last months and days of life. Key issues include ✅Communication ✅Access to key people and timely help ✅Bereavement support ✅Community care Recommendations include renewing the call for the Government to establish an Independent Commissioner for Ageing and Older People. Many factors impact on our ability to age well. All too many older people experience challenges relating to income, housing, health, transport, work, energy, education and digital communications. We need an Independent Commissioner for Ageing and Older People. @AgeSector
