At this point in time… 20 years ago: I was a member of a TF that was hunting Zarqawi and only weeks away from sealing the deal. 15 years ago: I was coming back home from working in Pakistan for the better part of a year, a couple of weeks after the Bin Laden raid had happened. 11 years ago: I was helping form an Arab coalition after the government of Yemen went into exile inside Saudi Arabia. Today: I was able to watch my son be confirmed in the Catholic Church. Life comes at you fast. The work is important, but it isn’t everything. Don’t forget to take a moment to recognize the good things when they happen. We can’t take it for granted that we will always be around to see them.
