@HeyHeyItsConrad @RealJeffJarrett @MyWorldPod It’s like the behind the scenes or director’s commentary on a dvd. You don’t want an actor leaking the plot or a set piece of a movie before you see it. But they still put the dvd extras out after the movie has already been released.

I can’t believe people were initially shocked that Wuthering Heights received such divisive reviews, and now we’re seeing the same reaction with The Bride! These were always the kinds of films that were going to provoke extreme responses because the filmmakers aren’t interested in making movies that try to appease everyone. That’s one of the reasons I admire WB so much: they actually allow their filmmakers to take big swings and take risks. Hell, I know plenty of people who secretly don’t like Sinners, but that was also a massive creative swing for Coogler.
