@patmacollie Postecoglou can command millions upon millions per year and won't be short of offers, most the SFA have ever paid was £750k per year and that was on Clarke's last contract, don't see us stretching the budget remotely close to what would entice Ange or anyone in his league, IMO.

Really mixed feelings on this, our three appearances at tournaments under Clarke have been diabolical, but before he took charge I genuinely didn't think I'd ever see us at another tourney, under him I felt like we could qualify for all of them, he'll be a very hard act to follow

@AgentScotland That's why I specified "at the tournaments". We got results in qualifying but it translated to turgid anti-football that only once got a result out of three tournaments - it's not good enough. The same team beat Spain but sat deep against Haiti - he never took the handbrake off.

@Hoju8889 We qualified for three tournaments our of four & also won a Nations League group that got us promoted to the top tier, I think he installed a winning mentality into a team that was utterly shambolic for over 19 of the last 20 years, performances at tournaments tho were horrible.

@AgentScotland He never improved and at the tournaments never got the tactics right. We were going round in circles now we need someone with a winning attitude to instill it into the players.

If only managing to beat Haiti gets you to the knockout stages of the World Cup then it highlights just how weak a 48 team tournament actually is, if FIFA really had the best interests of the game at heart they'd switch it back to 32 teams for 2030. Ruined, like everything else.

If we had done ourselves any kind of justice in this tournament & just fell short, you'd be gutted about results going against you, and envious of those teams making it through, but it would be an utter travesty if performing like we did at this tourny got us any kind of reward.
