@dadbegg @FundilyMundelly In that scenario I agree. Restarting the game yesterday though would have had no material impact on the outcome. If anything it was just a humiliation for the Hearts players trudging back on to pointlessly complete the last 30 seconds. The decision not to made common sense.

@Agentk1967 @FundilyMundelly Right to complain. It could come down to goal difference at the end of the season, and a team might have added to their goals in the minutes not played. I like the rugby clock that is stopped for injuries, substitutions, TMO interventions etc. Everyone knows how long to go.

Most accept that the game and the destiny of the title was done and dusted when Don Robertson called a halt. I thought he had a fine game, given the pressure. But would like clarity from the SPL/SFA, or any ref on here, as to when/how a match is over. Will add a wee string.

I have zero interest in the “abandonment” conversation. Celtic won the game and the league. I have plenty in the fact said game ended because of the antics of supporters. And how on earth we got to this point. Not good enough. theguardian.com/football/2026/…

@mrewanmurray Yes, this needs dealing with in Scottish football. It should have been addressed after the Rangers v Hibs Scottish Cup final. It wasn't and it isn't good enough.

@dadbegg @FundilyMundelly I have routinely watched referees blow Celtic games up early if they are winning by a wide margin. In fact I have complained about it. It might not be in the rules but it happens all the time.

@Scotland2Philly @DMT201293 @DS4013183 @spfl I AM used to seeing Celtic winning by big margins where the referee has called it early. In fact I have even complained about it! Regardless, there does seem to be some discretion there.

That said he shouldn't be on the pitch. If authorities want to make it a criminal offence to enter the field then I am fine with that.

@DMT201293 @DS4013183 @spfl I didn't see any assaults tbh. I did however see wholly unacceptable behaviour from neds goading Hearts players etc and it's not nice to see. I roundly condemn it and the whole pitch invasion situation needs dealt with. I hope those responsible are banned from the stadium.

@Agentk1967 @DS4013183 @spfl That's garbage. Hearts players had been assaulted and ushered off by refs and police. I'm not wanting their title chucked. But the SFA is a mess. Scotland is a laughing stock. Celtic need hit with games behind closed doors and fines. They do it all the time.

@DMT201293 @DS4013183 @spfl As far as I understand it, Hearts were given the option to have the pitch cleared and play out the final 30 seconds. They declined and the ref called it. I get your disappointment but to restart the game being two goals behind made no practical sense.
